In general the three primary elements of a sound security program are physical, operational and technological security. We refer to these elements as the “Triad of Security”.

A sound security program is multifaceted integrating facility design features and physical security measures with electronic security systems, network infrastructure and a comprehensive arrangement of policies, procedures, methodologies and security personnel ensuring a safe and secure environment. This approach reinforces the benefits that each security element may provide on its own so that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Consequently, no individual element of this total program can be singled out for removal or stand-alone implementation without a direct and adverse effect on the totality of the security approach.
