As a specialty sub-consultant to JTC Architects, Triad Consulting & System Design Group (Triad Consulting) provided design, bid assistance and construction administration services for security, fire alarm, Wi-Fi, and audio visual systems at the new Los Angeles County Public Library located in the community of Stevenson Ranch.
The 12,000 square-foot full service library includes a large reading area for adults; teen center for middle and high school students; a children’s area; an 80-seat community meeting room; group study rooms; express checkout service machines; public access computers; public access Wi-Fi; and an opening day collection of approximately 60,000 books, and other library materials.
Triad Consulting created 50% and 100% construction document package deliverables consisting of detailed plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for security (access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarm, door communications), fire alarm, Wi-Fi (Los Angeles County Wi-Fi and public Wi-Fi), audio visual (public address, presentation system, MATV, SATV, CATV, video displays, video conferencing), cabling (voice/data, workstation outlets, wireless network access points, patch cables), and telecommunications rooms.
Triad Consulting is also providing bid assistance and construction support for the project consisting of answering request for information, review of contractor submittal packages, site inspections and punch list preparation, as well as creating record drawings based on contractor furnished as-built mark-ups.
